The Golf for Charity Classic, co-hosted by Richard P. Slaughter Associates and RPS Retirement Plan Advisors, contributes $65,000 to four local charities and raises its 17-year donation total to $750,000.

AUSTIN — What started as a simple way to engage with clients and give back to the community through golf has grown into a 17-year tradition of generosity. The Golf for Charity Classic, co-hosted by Richard P. Slaughter Associates and RPS Retirement Plan Advisors, once again brought together clients, community partners, and sponsors to make a lasting difference — contributing $65,000 this year and elevating the event’s total charitable contributions to $750,000.

“The Central Texas community has supported us for more than three decades, and this event is one of our favorite ways to give that support back,” said Brooks Slaughter, President and Chief Investment Officer of Slaughter Associates. “Seeing the impact these nonprofits have year after year through their great work serves as a great reminder of why we do this.”

This year’s beneficiaries – Texas Parent to Parent, the Christi Center, AGE of Central Texas, and the Autism Society of Central Texas – shared their missions with more than __ participants at Twin Creeks Country Club. Each organization continues to make an essential difference in arenas that impact nearly everyone:

Texas Parent to Parent empowers families raising children with disabilities and chronic health needs.

The Christi Center offers grief support and education to individuals and families navigating loss.

AGE of Central Texas provides adult day care and programs that promote dignity and connection for older adults.

The Autism Society of Central Texas connects individuals and families to vital community resources and support.

The Golf for Charity Classic also serves as a ‘thank you’ celebration for Slaughter Associates’ and RPS’s clients, partners, and special guests. This year’s event was further made possible by generous support from CWS Capital Partners, Don E. Cox and Associates, Liberty Street Advisors, Reams Asset Management, Specialty Insurance Managers, Fidelity Investments, J.P. Morgan, Grant Park, American Beacon, and Virtus Investment Partners.
