Michele has been a steady and trusted leader at Richard P. Slaughter Associates since joining the firm in 2004. Over more than 20 years, she has earned a reputation as a thoughtful problem-solver, a grounding presence on the leadership team, and a tireless advocate for the kind of client experience that defines the firm.

As the Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board of Directors, Michele brings together two essential strengths: deep operational discipline and a genuine understanding of people. She oversees the processes, systems, and touchpoints that shape each client’s experience, ensuring every interaction feels personal, thoughtful, and aligned with the firm’s commitment to gracious service.

Her long tenure gives her a rare perspective on how the firm, its services, and its clients have evolved. Michele understands not only how the business works, but how clients’ expectations change over time. With an anticipatory mindset and a sharp eye for detail, she helps refine procedures, strengthen communication, and resolve issues before they become obstacles.

Michele serves as a bridge between the firm’s people and its clients, helping the team-based model operate with clarity, consistency, and care. Her leadership enables advisors to focus on delivering comprehensive financial guidance while she orchestrates the operational excellence that supports True Wealth Management™.

A graduate of Texas Tech University with a BBA in Marketing, Michele also holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation and Series 65 securities license. Her approach to leadership reflects the same belief she brings to client service: that people come first, always. “The ability to truly listen and understand that behind every financial goal is a person with unique dreams and concerns,” she says, “is what makes a good wealth advisor. Outside of work, Michele enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. It is the same relationship-centered perspective she brings to every client interaction and every decision she makes as a leader.
