As a member of the Disciplinary and Ethics Commission, Armont is charged with reviewing alleged violations of CFP Board’s ethical and practice standards and assessing candidates against its fitness standards.

AUSTIN, TX (February 3, 2022) — Darby Armont, (MBA, CFA, CFP®) Executive Vice President of Wealth Management and Business Strategy at Richard P. Slaughter Associates has been appointed to the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards’ (CFP Board) Disciplinary and Ethics Commission (DEC).

The Commission is charged with reviewing and taking appropriate action with respect to alleged violations of CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct (Code and Standards) and conduct pursuant to the Fitness Standards for Candidates and Professionals Eligible for Reinstatement. Armont has maintained her CFP® certification since 2005 and will serve a 1-year term on the DEC.
